Since I got Season 3 on dvd for Christmas, I watched this episode last night before bed. This without a doubt is my favorite BB episode. Though it was very predictable. It was obvious since the beginning of the episode that the other beast was Adonis, since it's obvious that BB and him both ended up coming in contact with the chemicals. That was the only downfall of the episode, but it's still a great episode. :) After all, it's the first time we get to see another side of Beast Boy we'd never normally get to see, even though it's not his best side of course. It just shows that even the nicest person can be pushed... One other thing that bothered me just a tiny bit was the fact that in the final battle between BB & Adonis as the beasts is that BB teleported right in front of Adonis before they both got too tired to continue fighting. How'd he do that? I know it was obviously the extra power that came with the beast, but how come he couldn't do that before? In the long run, they probably just added that to add to the battle, to make the action much better. Still it just bothers me a bit. Any who, I still love this episode. Especially the scene at the end, who doesn't laugh at that? xD I'll still give this a perfect score of 10 out of 10, simply because it was well written and it's dark. Plus it's based around Beast Boy, a character that's the complete opposite of dark. Still they could have done without the whole teleport thing, that was just completely out of sync.

If this isn't my favorite BB episode, it's second to "257-494". It's dark without being overplayed or romanticized, and seeing a more serious side to BB is nice. The Season 3 arc has a definite theme of maturing/manhood, and this episode ties into that with the subtext between BB, Adonis, and Raven. I may be reading too much into it, but to me it makes the episode more interesting.

I don't think it was too predictable, since the second beast doesn't come in until late in the episode. I like the mysterious feel and the sort of behind-the-scenes action. Adonis fits well in the story, trying to make himself more of a man with a giant suit of armor. The beast he and BB become is a good manifestation of that drive. A very strong standalone episode among several others in the third season. 10/10

Did anyone feel that Robin was a bit harsh with Beast Boy? Other than that, this was a great episode. I enjoyed seeing a different side of BB for once, and the ending with Raven and him was nice :)
